Born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, Cindy is the ninth of nine first generation Mexican-American siblings. She was drawn to the field of interior design at a young age, after working in the custom furniture manufacturing industry for several years. Selling beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces and traveling the country building trade show booths and pop-ups for a variety of clientele, her love for fabrication and events was ignited.

In 2001, Cindy and her husband-turned-business partner, Craig Waldman, embarked on their greatest career journey yet: creating 15|40 in the heart of Los Angeles. Merging her world and Craig’s, the pair took time to structure a company centered on production, fabrication and creative design with a backbone of family. Her tenure in furniture manufacturing provided her the tools to study, observe and practice the management styles and company processes needed to begin a business from scratch. Utilizing this insight and knowledge in 15|40’s best practices have proven to be beneficial, as she and Craig continue to foster a culture of inclusivity, creativity and collaboration.
